Job Title:                   Finance Assistant  

 

Job Location:                     Kenilworth, Warwickshire

Salary:                                 £21K. Full time, 37.5hrs per week

 

The Role

Being solely responsible for entering all monthly accounting activity up to and including bank reconciliation stage:

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Expenses
  • Sales and Purchase ledger
  • Purchase Orders (inc checking invoices against purchase orders & delivery notes)
  • Communicating with suppliers
  • Posting journals
  • Debit and credit notes
  • Answering the telephone/taking messages.
  • Filing various documents
  • Making online bank payments
  • Providing support for the monthly Management Accounts processing
  • General/ad hoc office duties.

 

 

Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes

  • Comfortable taking sole responsibility for their tasks, working under pressure and managing their time effectively to deliver to deadline
  • Detail orientated, with a strong work ethic and time management skills
  • Good understanding of the background of computerised accounting (especially how the balance sheet and P&L interact)
  • Minimum 2 years Sage Line 50 experience (or AAT level 3 or equivalent)
  • A keen flexible attitude
  • Pro-active team player
  • Can project a friendly and professional email/telephone persona
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
